Chapter 2
“What are we going to do for a few hours?” James asked when they got into Anthony’s car, wondering how they were going to spend their day.
“I have a friend who we’re going to visit and go from there. I haven’t seen her in a long time. She’d be mad if I showed up and didn’t visit her,” Anthony told him, starting up the car and pulling out of the parking lot.
Anthony had grown up in California that’s where his and James’ parents met when they were younger. When James was fifteen years old his family wanted to move away to Texas and he had decided to stay behind. He had moved in with Anthony’s aunt when she realized how hard it was for James to leave with his family. He didn’t want to leave and it had caused a big fight until Anthony’s aunt stepped in and gave them the option of letting James stay with her. It had been a hard decision for James’ parents but James had won.
Anthony had moved to Florida when he had hit eighteen but once he had heard the good news he knew that he had to be here for James. Their parents couldn’t make it and that was a big disappointment to James. He knew that so there was no way that he was going to let James down when he called and told him that no one was going to be there for him. Everyone knew but no one wanted to take the time out of their own busy life to watch basketball tryouts when they thought it was an open session.
Anthony pulled up to a white house that was so big it looked like a mansion. He shut his car off and felt a smile come across his face. He hadn’t seen his friend Carrie since he had moved. He hardly kept in touch with her so she was going to be surprised. The only things he knew about her now was that she was single and a model for dirty magazines that were all over the state of California. The reason she could afford such a big house and the expensive cars that she had bragged about over social media.
“I thought we were getting out? We’re wasting time,” James groaned seeing that Anthony was finally getting out of the car and he followed suite. Glad that he could spend time with Anthony himself. He didn’t get to see Anthony that much.
They both walked up the stairs to the big house and James stood behind Anthony he didn’t know anyone there. He saw that Anthony knew what he was doing and kept his mouth shut.
Anthony knocked three times before he saw the doorbell on the side and he pushed his finger down on it.
He stood there for a few minutes and thought that she wasn’t home. He was hoping that he hadn’t missed her because it was the only time that he’d be able to talk with her in person and try to help James out.
Just as he was about to turn away from the door someone opened it. It was a short, dark, woman and she had a maid’s uniform on that’s when he knew that Carrie had maids and butlers that worked for her.
“Does Carrie Oliver live here?” Anthony asked, making sure that it was the right place to begin with.
“Carrie!” the woman hollered, making Anthony jump. For such a short lady, she had a loud mouth on her.
Anthony heard footsteps coming from upstairs and when he saw her she took his breath away. The way she looked at him, the way she was dressed and the smile when she realized who it was at the door. It was as if he was staring into the face of a famous woman. In a way, he supposed she was because of the magazines she was on, almost all of them up and down the streets had her face on the front page.
“Anthony!” Carrie cried out as she took him by his hand and pulled him into the house.
Anthony had noticed that the maid had disappeared when Carrie came to the door, where she had taken off to he didn’t know.
Carrie looked at the young man behind Anthony and her smile grew wider. She enjoyed company and Anthony’s was the best kind of company in the past couple of months.
“Come on in,” Carrie replied, seeing that James was just standing there.
Carrie had long, blonde hair and light blue eyes. She had a touch of makeup on and looking at the jewelry she was wearing he could tell that she was doing good for herself. Looking at her fingers he noticed that she didn’t have a wedding band on her ring finger, her ring fingers had no rings on them, it made him feel at ease asking her knowing that she wasn’t attached.
Anthony remembered Carrie having large tits but seeing them pushed against each other tightly in the pink dress that she was wearing made them stand out even more.
“What are you doing here? God I’ve missed you.” Carrie hugged him tightly to her and he could feel her tits pressing against his hard chest. He bit back a moan as he wrapped his arms around her and held her tightly to him.
“I actually came to town to watch James try out for The Wild Cats basketball team. We just found out that it’s going to be a closed basketball session so I thought I’d come and see you. I gambled hoping that you weren’t at work.” Anthony grinned nodding his head toward James as he closed the door, letting her lead him into the living room that had a mini-bar.
“I’m on vacation, two weeks,” Carrie stated, going to the bar and pouring three shots of whiskey.
“That’s great, so you’ve been spoiling yourself I see,” Anthony chuckled, shaking his head.
“Damn right I have. Now James, I think I’ve heard of you before.” Carrie tried remembering who James was as she looked at him, checking him out.
She knew that he was handsome and he definitely caught her eye standing behind Anthony.
“He’s my step-brother, he was living at my aunt’s, he was actually the reason we got to stay here while our parents moved to Texas.” Anthony couldn’t believe he had to refresh her memory.
“Oh yeah, you were the kid that was always playing basketball in the driveway when we were teenagers. Every time I came over to get you there he was. Even if it was pouring outside he would be soaked through and through but he always had a smile on his face. Good for you, if anyone deserves it he does.” Carrie’s eyes lit up when she could match a face to the name.
“Thank you.” James nodded his head and smiled at her, his face growing red.
James felt his heart racing, beating hard against his chest. Carrie was beautiful and he could see that she had grown up. He remembered who she was, he couldn’t forget who she was. Everyone back home had a crush on her when they were younger.
“What do you do for fun?” Anthony asked her, hoping to get out of the house. He wanted to go out and see the town while he was there, he wanted to have a good time not knowing when he would be back.
Chapter 3
Carrie put her drink down and got off the stool. She grabbed her purse and headed out of the living room without saying a word to Anthony. Anthony followed her out of the living room and out of the house.
“Well, nothing much has changed. I still do the crazy things we used to do,” Carrie explained to him.
“You still go around knocking on people’s doors before running?” Anthony laughed at her, shaking his head as they got into her limo.
“I do sometimes, only when I’m bored enough.” She laughed with him, tapping the glass window for her driver to start the car as the window rolled down so that they could see the front.
“Where are we going?” Anthony asked her.
“Take use to Holland Boulevard,” Carrie told her driver and sat back so she could relax.
Her driver didn’t say anything as he closed the window, he had heard her and started driving in the direction that she wanted.
“Why are we going there?” Anthony asked.
“Have you seriously forgotten? This is the time of year for the festivals around here,” Carrie reminded him.
Anthony had forgotten all about the festivals in town. The sun was shining and the sky was blue. The weather was warm and he couldn’t wait to get out of the limo so that they could walk around and check out the people doing different things at the Freedom Festival that they had.
Anthony was glad that Carrie and James were hitting it off. It would make his question easier to ask later when he took Carrie aside. He could see that they were talking about basketball. He di
dn’t know that Carrie was big into basketball until her and James continued talking about the sport when the limo pulled up to the curb where there were people on the sidewalks blowing fire out of their mouths and doing different juggling tricks.
“I remember these festivals. I didn’t realize how much I missed them until now.” James looked at Carrie with excitement in his eyes.
Anthony got out of the limo and held the door open for the two of them, without thinking James grabbed a hold Carrie’s hand and pulled her out of the limo quickly.
Carrie laughed at him and shook her head, she felt butterflies growing inside of her, holding onto James’ hand tightly as they began walking the sidewalk with Anthony on the other side of Carrie.
“I wish you guys would move back here. You have no idea how much I miss you guys,” Carrie said loud enough for the them to hear her over the crowds that were walking up and down the sidewalk.
James came to a dead stop in the middle of the sidewalk. He was watching a man on a bandstand that was on the grass swallowing a ball of fire off a thick stick that he had in his hand, for just a few seconds the man held it in before he blew it out.
“I would never be able to do something like that. That’s why I’m here and he’s over there,” James stated, shaking his head as he stood there in awe watching the man do it again.
“I don’t know how they do it, but he can’t possibly be swallowing that fire ball. There has to be a trick to it,” Anthony replied as he looked over at James.
He could see that James was having a great time, even more so with Carrie right there with them.
“Yeah, I have to agree with Anthony. There’s no way he could swallow it and live to tell about it.” Carrie put her two cents in as she held on tighter to James’s hand.
“I wish the two of you could come to tryouts tonight.” James changed the subject as they continued walking.
“It’s alright we’ll drop you off in a few hours and when you want me to come pick you up I will.” Anthony shrugged his shoulders, he wished he could go too but he wasn’t going to make James feel worse than he already felt.
The rest of the day had gone by quickly. They went to the small carnival at the end of the strip and went on roller coasters together. They went on the Ferris wheel together and the more time James and Carrie spent with each other the more connected they were getting.
Anthony could see the romance that was starting between them and he felt pride in the fact that James didn’t seem as if he was looking for a quick gettogether. He wanted his step-brother to find someone that would make him happy not just for the moment but for a lifetime.
Before they headed back for the limo that night, James had picked a rose from a rosebush along the way and put it behind Carrie’s ear. She looked beautiful as she blushed seeing that James was trying to be a little romantic in the time that they had together.
“I really hope that you make the team,” Carrie told him, giving him a quick hug before they got into the limo.
“I hope so too. It’s my favorite team.” James nodded his head feeling slightly nervous as the limo headed back for the house.
“Let’s go to the basketball stadium please,” Carrie told the driver and he nodded his head.
“What are you doing?” James asked, his eyes growing wide with surprise.
“I thought that we would drop you off. We can’t be there so we can at least do something to help you out and support you.” Carrie grinned at him as she put her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes.
Anthony and James looked at one another and Anthony gave him a wink, letting him know that he liked the fact that James and Carrie were getting to know each other and he thought things were going very well between the two of them.
The limo pulled into the stadium and parked by the front doors. Before James got out though he got another surprise. Carrie planted a soft kiss on his lips and he was at a loss for words.
“A good luck kiss,” Carrie told him in a soft voice.
“Thank you, I’m going to need as much luck as I can get.” He winked at her.
“Good luck buddy, give us a call okay?” Anthony asked before James shut the limo door.
“I will, I will let you know how it goes.” He nodded his head and closed the door.
The limo didn’t leave until he was inside the building. James looked over his shoulder and watched as the limo started leaving the parking lot.
He grinned thinking about his day with Anthony and Carrie as he went to the locker room to get changed. He quickly got his basketball shoes on not talking to anyone in the locker room because he didn’t want to make friends with the competition and forget the real reason he was there, because he was good and he was doing it for him. No one else was going to do it for him.
He heard the whistle and stepped out of the locker room with the rest of the guys trying out. They walked onto the basketball court in a single file and James took a deep breath, slowly letting it out.
“Tonight’s the night, tonight’s the night I find out if I’m going to make it,” James whispered to himself, making sure no one else could hear him.

“You really like James, don’t you?” Anthony asked when it was just him and Carrie in the limo.
“I do, I had a great time with him. It’s been a long time since I had any kind of fun with another man and James is a fun-loving man,” she told him, her face glowing when he brought up James.
“That’s good, I was hoping you would. I was hoping that I could ask you a question, there’s something that I want to do for James, a celebration of sorts,” Anthony told her softly.
“I would do anything for James, I feel like we’ve known each other forever. I mean besides talking to him in the past I never really got to know him until today,” Carrie explained to him.
“What do you think about a threesome? I know it’s totally catching you off guard but,” Anthony didn’t get to finish his sentence.
“Yes, yes I think that’s a great idea!” She told him, not letting him finish his sentence.
Carrie was hoping that they would become closer to each another if they had more than just conversation. She felt it was a thrill to have two men to herself, brothers at that.
“That was easier than what I thought it would be.” Anthony wiped the sweat from his hands and smiled at her.
“We will even make it a surprise.” She thought more into it. She wanted him to have something special to come back to after the tryouts. Win or lose she already thought James was a winner.
James was glad that it wasn’t individual tryouts. They tried out as a team and played the game. He could see the coaches out of the corner of his eye. They were shaking their heads at some and nodding at others. He couldn’t tell if they were impressed with him but he took his eyes off them and concentrated on the game.
Out of nowhere James made the ball from half court and he knew that he was going to have a spot with the team after the show off performance that he had made in front of the team and the coaches, he grinned and wiped the sweat off his face. It was an easy shot for him to make when the pressure was on it was always easier for him to keep his eye on the hoop, imagine that he was going to make it and go for it. Watching the ball go into the hoop every time.
Chapter 4
It was well after ten at night when Anthony got another call from James. He knew this was it, when he saw the number on his cell phone. Either James was going to be an NBA ball player for the team he wanted or he was going to go home and wait for someone to call him.
“This is the news we’ve been waiting for,” Anthony told Carrie as they sat on the living room sofa together.
“Good luck,” she whispered as he answered the phone, he couldn’t sit there and let it ring any longer.
“What’s the good word?” Anthony asked the second he put his phone to his ear.
For a few second’s there was nothing but silence on the other end of the line. Anthony began thinking the wors
t until James shouted with excitement. He couldn’t hear what James was saying all he knew was that James was happy.
“Calm down man, I can’t hear you,” Anthony said and laughed into the phone.
“I made it, I was the first one on the list can you believe that? Their first choice,” James told him, though he was still loud Anthony could understand what he was saying this time.
“That’s great news. I had no doubt in my mind that you were going to make it. I’m going to come and get you,” Anthony told him, getting up from the couch.
“I have my own car, I thought we’d meet somewhere and have a few drinks,” James told him.
“That’s great and all but I have other plans for us. We will get your car in the morning,” Anthony told him and laughed as he hung up the phone before James could ask any more questions.
When Anthony picked him up it was non-stop talk about the game and Carrie.
“Why didn’t you bring Carrie with you?” James asked him, hoping that she would’ve wanted to go for the ride at least.
“She’s waiting at the house for us. We have a surprise for you.” Anthony grinned at him, glad to see James happy.
“All the players were great. I was afraid that I wasn’t going to make it,” James told him, acting like a kid on Christmas day bouncing around.
“Well here’s to the new life style that you’re going to be living. Just don’t forget about me,” Anthony warned him.
“I will never forget about you, I’m not going to change like that. Now that I got to know Carrie I won’t forget her either. It was great hanging out with her today. I loved spending time with her, something that I might not have now. There’s a tight schedule that’s for sure.” James shook his head firmly, promising that he would never forget his old friends and family.
Anthony picked up his cell and dialed Carrie’s phone number. She picked up on the first ring and he heard her sexy giggle before she hung up the phone.
